Places to Eat
If you want to save on costs, I recommend going to Costco the first day and stocking up on food for your stay. Get plenty of drinks that you can pack with you so you stay hydrated throughout your vacation. The home has coolers that you can pack with you to the beach. If you decide to eat out, here are a few places that you must try:

Breakfast

Big Island Grill 75-5702 Kuakini Hwy Kailua Kona, HI 96740-1717. This is about 3-5 minutes from the home. The Pancakes here are better than I've had anywhere in America, you can get them with mac nuts and you have your choice of maple or coconut syrup. You also can get the loco moco, a local favorite that you must try at least once.

U Top It 75-5799 Alii Dr Kailua Kona, HI 96740-1717. This is about 5 minutes from the home. Everything here is served on a taro crepe. I recommend the mango and cream cheese crepe.

Lunch and Dinner

Drysdales Two 78-6831 Alii Drive Kailua Kona, HI 96740-1717. Fish and Chips are amazing, this is also a good place to go if your favorite team is playing because it is a sports bar and grill.

Kona Inn Restaurant 75-5744 Alii Drive Kailua Kona, HI 96740-1717. I recommend the Calamari Caesar salad as they have the best calamari anywhere.
